About Code 39 Barcodes
What is a Code 39?
Code 39 is one of the oldest and most widely used barcode types. It is a variable-length, discrete barcode symbology that can encode uppercase letters, numbers, and a few special characters.

Technical Details
Encodes 43 characters, consisting of uppercase letters (A-Z), numeric digits (0-9), and seven special characters (-, ., $, /, +, %, and space). An optional checksum can be used. For a more compact and secure barcode, consider using Code 93 or Code 128.
